Providing an up-close look at marine life, the Mote Aquarium is the public branch of the research-based Mote Marine Laboratory. Its aquarium areas feature animals ranging from small fish to massive creatures like manatees and dolphins, and high-tech, informative exhibits that help visitors further understand the incredible diversity and fragility of the seas. Located on the southern end of Ken Thompson Park, the aquarium is on Lido Key just west of Sarasota.
Open daily 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Adults $17; Seniors (65+) $16; Children (4-12) $12; Children under 4 are free.
